Haggai 2:6-7. This is what the Lord Almighty says: "In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.  I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory," says the Lord Almighty.

• Obedient faith requires putting God first in our lives.

A Call to Return to the Lord

Zechariah 1:3  Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Return to me," declares the Lord Almighty, "and I will return to you," says the Lord Almighty.

• The Bible reveals that God is exalted above us in every way yet yearns to draw us close.
• God longs to bless and restore repentant sinners.

Night Visions

Zechariah 4:6-7a  This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit," says the Lord Almighty.  "What are you, mighty mountain?  Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground."

• What we know about God balances what we do not comprehend about the present or future.
• God provides everything His people need as He faithfully accomplishes His eternal plan.

More Night Visions

Zechariah 6:12. Tell him this is what the Lord Almighty says: "Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from this place and build the temple of the Lord."

• God reveals enough about the future to offer hope for today.
• God will judge sinners, abolish evil, and reign without rival.
